Question: Do home improvements increase the value of your home?
Answer: It depends on a few things. First of all, adding living space increases the value the most. Three and Four season additions and decks will be your largest value. However, finishing basements is also a great asset. Siding is a strong second behind these, because people desire less maintenance. Roofing is very important as well, it can become a more popular asset with all the new, innovative products that enhance curb appeal.

Question: Do supply companies and manufacturers stand behind their products?
Answer: Some do and some don't. Over the years it has been challenging finding good companies to do business with. Service is so important because if we have problems with the products, we need to correct things right away. We have surrounded ourselves with the best companies in the business.

Question: What is the most important rule to follow when picking a contractor?
Answer: Referrals are the best thing to follow up on. Call them. If you have some that were not 100% satisfied, that would show you how honest the company is. We have a long referral list and
had a few small problems. It is finding out how the problems were dealt with, to keep a happy customer would be the ultimate question.

Question: How can I get the highest return on my investment?
Answer: Evaluating the neighborhood and adding what the surrounding area will allow is the best policy. For example: You live in Maple Grove in a $140,000 to $180,000 home with 6 houses on your street that have added a 4 season porch, averaging 12x16 in size. If you were to add a 2 story addition or a 24x20 4 season addition, you may price yourself out of what people may pay for your house, if you were to sell at a later time.

Question: How do I know if my house has hail damage?

Question: How do I know if I am paying the right price for my project?
Answer: Getting 3 estimates is a good way to judge. More people are not settling for the lowest bid and that is very wise. The problem is, when a bid is too low, 90% of the time it is because of one thing. LABOR! Paying your laborers is the most important rule. To Advanced Home Improvements, paying our workers right is very important. If you pay too low, you get what you pay for. That saying applies to the homeowner and our company.
